
Born in Settimo Torinese, 1969.
Professional training at the Graphics and Photographic Arts School F. Balbis, in 1987 he starts working as stage photographer in theatre and dance, collaborating with: Laboratorio Teatro Settimo, Sosta Palmizi, Roberto Castello, Teatro Regio di Torino, Dogtroep and Vis a Vis (Holland), ZUR (France), Volterra and Drodesera Festivals.
His photos were exhibited in Russia, Holland, France and Italy and published in books such as: Dogtroep photographs ’91-‘97, Drodesera20 and Danza d’asfalto.
In 1990 he founded the cooperative Sollevante, technical services for theatre .
From 1995 to 2005 he collaborated with the French performing group ZUR, in charge of super8 and 16mm shooting and projection during their shows. He took part to training workshops for film development and print techniques at MTK lab in Grenoble and with Giuseppe Lanci and Robbie Muller in Bologna.
Since 1997 he has been a member of Zenit Arti Audiovisive, where he started working as cameraman and d.o.p. . Among many productions, he was d.o.p. in the documentaries Cannabis Rock and Young Suburbs, the music video Il senso della vite for Perturbazione, the corporate Acquerello, and the educational Hi There! . In 2005 and 2006 he was d.o.p. in the documentaries Dresscode and Threesome directed by Caterina Klusemann for Arte/ZDF Thema evenings. He was also cameraman/director in the BBC series Return to Tuscany (20 episodes broadcast from May to September 2005). He took part as cameraman to Checosamanca, documentary co-produced by Eskimosa and RAICinema.
Since 1998 he has been in charge of Super8 department for Zenit, collaborating with several Italian production companies in the making of documentaries, music videos, commercials and films.
Since 2006 he is technical supervisor of Flashscan 8 telecine for 8mm and super8 (training at MWANova, Berlin). He is one of the authors of the project Superottimisti (www.super8.to.it).
