2001 - in production

2001-2007, 5 editions. 20 short movies in Super8, written and filmed by the students during the laboratories held by Zenit Arti Audiovisive tutors in several secondary schools of Torino and its Province, in collaboration with the National Museum of Cinema of Turin.

Laboratory for secondary schools, including a guided visit to the National Museum of Turin, an introduction to cinematic language and production process, the making of a short film shot in Super8.

Introduction includes: the birth of cinema and its language, analyzing short films made from 1895 to 1905.

The making includes: the students – guided by Zenit tutors - produce a short film shot in Super8, experiencing the process of The Cinema Machine as it was at the beginning of its history. Developing the short plot, writing the screenplay, directing and shooting with Beaulieu Super8 cameras, editing – cutting and pasting the Super8 film.

At the end of the school year all the shorts produced are projected at Cinema Massimo, together with a live musical performance.

The laboratories involved dozens of Secondary Schools and hundreds of students of Turin and its province.
