La ballata di Geraldina (The Ballad of Geraldina), (2001, Super8 and BetacamSP, 26’), by Vittoria Castagneto, a Regione Piemonte, Museo Nazionale Duca degli Abruzzi - CAI Torino, Zenit Arti Audiovisive co-production.

Synopsis:
The Ballad of Geraldina tells the story of Claudio Zanotto Contino, a story-teller from the Piedmont region who walks through valleys and plains together with his donkey Geraldina. The movie opens with Claudio and Geraldina’s departure from the backyard of their house in Cuceglio, Canavese, then crosses the Alps and reaches the sea. An imaginary Piedmont unifying Tenda and Val Chiusella with the Alta Valle of Susa, discovering places known only by the ones who walk instead of driving or sitting on a TGV. A short movie dedicated to the ones who are not in a hurry and are willing to listen to stories.
